Five Mile Fun Run 

The Five Mile Fun Run is a very popular event with local runners - especially family teams, local schools and community groups who raise sponsorship for their own charitable causes. Sharing a part of the Half Marathon route through beautiful countryside, finishing the Fun Run gives a great sense of achievement.

  The Organisers 

The event is promoted by the Rotary Club of Berkhamsted who aim to organise a successful and challenging Half Marathon event, together with an interesting 5 mile fun run.  Over the years this Rotary event has directly raised more than £300,000 for various charities. 

 Race Information

The start and finish is at Berkhamsted Cricket Club which is close to Berkhamsted Railway Station.

Your entry helps Rotary raise funds for many local charities, including DENS (Dacorum Emergency Night Shelter) and two care organisations, the Pepper Foundation and the Hospice of St Francis.   We also welcome individuals or teams running to raise funds independently for their own nominated charitable causes. 

You can also raise money for your own preferred charity by getting personal or team sponsorship.  We'll recognise the most successful fundraiser (across the two events - Half Marathon and Fun Run), so be sure to let us know your fundraising plans by ticking the relevant box on the entry form.

We will be awarding everyone who completes the Fun Run one of our bespoke medals, so don't miss adding it to your collection.

Fundraising Prizes: Many individual and team entrants raise funds for their preferred charity by obtaining sponsorship for participating in either our Half Marathon or Fun Run event.  One additional donation will be made to the preferred charity of the individual or team who can demonstrate to our satisfaction that they have raised more than any other by 10th March 2024, provided that they have raised in excess of £500.  There is one Team Fundraising Prize and one Individual Fundraising Prize: we will not award separate prizes for the two events. See full details on the event website  https://www.berkorun.com/prizes

Sunday 3rd March 2024 (race day) from 8.00am until 9.30am CLOSING PROMPTLY at the Berkhamsted School Pavilion (near the Finish), Berkhamsted Cricket Club, Castle Hill, Berkhamsted HP4 1HE. 

Book early to avoid disappointment.  Affiliated club members are entitled to a discount on the standard entry fee, and an Early Bird discount is available until 31 December 2023.  See our entry fees section.

Late registration on these dates adds £4 to the fee for a full-price online entry.
